- Experience:
Pioneer Provisions was founded by Jerry Mower, who has a masters degree
in nutrition and 22 years experience in the nutrition, survival food, and
long-term storage food field.
- Food Quality:
- Jerry Mower's education and international experience in the nutrition field has been
vital in enabling us to design units that have the balance and combinations
of food that will be most effective in ensuring one's health and energy during stressful
times to come.
- Our food storage line includes foods that are part of the typical American
healthy diet, so as to avert "food shock" that can come when a person
is placed on a radically altered diet.
- Another psychological factor we address is the need to have "happy foods,"
such as desserts and popcorn.
- We have specially selected foods high in live enzyme content to ensure
the proper digestion of these foods, maximizing the nutritional value available for health
and well-being. For example, our fruit drinks have the highest Vitamin C content we could
find.
- All our foods are FDA regulated, meeting the most rigorous
standards. Our dairy products are tested daily to ensure their safety.
- Our TVP (textured vitamin protein) line of meat substitutes (beef,
chicken, sausage flavored) are more healthy and safe than dried meat.
- Our baking powder has no aluminum. Most baking powders contain
aluminum, which has been indicated as a major source of Alzheimer's disease.
- Preservation Quality
- Jerry Mower was the first to use triple-enameled cans with a special
enamel seal on the seam of the can to prolong freshness, storage life, and food value.
Hardly any competitors have caught on, or are willing to use these extra precautions to
ensure your food will retain its quality for up to 25 years
and longer.
- Many companies still use nitrogen packing in their canning process. Jerry Mower helped
pioneer carbon dioxide packing, which keeps your food "live,"
and avoids killing the germination ability of your food. If food has lost its germination
ability it becomes dead nutritionally, spoils much more quickly, and is also unable to be
sprouted.
- Service:
- Delivery time is currently running 2-3 weeks, oftentimes sooner. This,
of course, is subject to change at any time. However, we expect to continue to have the
best delivery times in the industry as the demand continues to escalate.
- Pioneer Provisions is one of only a handful of food storage companies in the country
that actually has their own canning facilities. Most companies are buying
from canneries such as us, thus adding a middle-man to the price you are paying for their
products.
- The family pack includes a Cook Book to help you make delicious meals
using the food storage.
