About Us
Recently married, Cheri and I currently live in Manti, Utah. Both of us come from families and backgrounds where preparedness has been highly emphasized and implemented. We believe the best way to avert disaster is to be prepared for it, physically, spiritually, and emotionally, both individually and as a Society. Indeed, a good thing about hard times is that they can draw people together. However, it is our strong belief that the more exalted relationship is one in which we pull together even when circumstances do not impel us to do so. We have a strong belief in the scriptural prophecies about the judgements or consequences that will follow individuals and nations when they live contrary to eternal laws of harmony, freedom, love, and respect. It is our belief that the extent of calamity that comes upon us as a people has a correlation with the degree to which we turn from God and his eternal truths. We can choose to turn to God by awakening to a sense of our awful situation BEFORE the calamities actually hit, in which case the repentance/grace clause enables those calamities to be turned away or significantly diminished -- depending upon the degree to which the heart has been yielded to God and changed by him. We hope that you will find the resources here to be of assistance to you as you prepare physically for the calamities that await us. In the best-case scenario, we all willfully repent and turn to the Lord, thereby turning away the destructions that await us. But because people have the sublime gift of agency, there will likely be many who will insist on continuing in the ways of wickedness, thereby bringing to pass many of the consequences spoken of in prophecy. Yet in all this preparation to be able to endure the tribulations to come, we must NOT think that one of the key lessons is that our interdependence has brought these calamities upon us. Yes, private victory is good and necessary, but public victory -- pulling together -- is better yet. When we master both, then we will have the long-awaited Zion. Socialism is wrong because it externally forces humankind to work together. Coercion is not of God. A society built upon such a foundation cannot be sustained. The socialist New World Order being implemented at present will fall. What we need to learn to do is to work together of our own free will. And what the gospel teaches us is that the natural man, the alter-ego if you will, is not compatible with such a willful losing of oneself for the benefit of others. This innate sinful nature of the flesh cannot be overcome of itself. Marxism seeks to apply the necessary change externally by force. Christ brings that change by changing the heart that is yielded to him, producing a new creature: a man or woman of God, infused with the Holy Spirit, spontaneously doing good as the Godness in him or her is manifest freely. This is the society for which we seek. It is founded on the gospel, which enables the private victory, from which springs a righteous society of individuals thus touched. It is Zion. Susan M. Brian was my groom's man on May 22 when Cheri and I get married. He and I met at a John Birch Society meeting almost nine years ago. I have been honored to have him as a close friend ever since. Seeing as I dragged him along so many places with me over these past years, he was not disappointed when I told him that now Cheri gets to be my wife. |
